Century Equipment Irrigation Design Services has been a part of the Irrigation Consulting business since 2005. We were formally known as CID Irrigation Consultants, prior to being purchased by the Jerry Pate Company, located in Pensacola, Florida in 2020. We are now known as:  Century Equipment – A Jerry Pate Company.

We strive to offer expert advice and direction to our clients. We strive to design & specify highly efficient irrigation systems, tailored to each project based on the actual site conditions and a customer’s vision. Irrigation equipment selection is based on many factors, but we will always work to ensure we are only using the products that are required. 

Our Approach

Water efficiency & sustainability is Goal #1. Water friendly irrigation components and controls are always the initial approach, with budgets certainly in mind. We evaluate each project to appropriately size the water sources, keeping in mind the local watering codes and restrictions. As water & its resource cost increase, it is very important to properly size irrigation system water sources to coincide with local watering water window requirements.

Initial design will account for water/pressure calcs, and coordinate with the appropriate MEP Design team to identify if pumps are needed, and that they are accounted for.

Follow up design, will be based on your desired design submittal packages and milestones. You choose your submittals and deadlines, and we work toward those goals. Each project will receive its very own set of written Irrigation Specifications to for the project.

During & after installation of the irrigation system, On-site system installation reviews are available as well as final walk-through visit/reports, to ensure the end user is getting a solid system based on Quality Installation practices and project Specifications.

Why Use an Irrigation Consultant

Good irrigation design & construction are of the utmost importance to the Owner, as most of the system is underground, and out of site. Water conservation through product selection & accurate layouts/install are imperative to the overall ROI, of an irrigation system. Consultants aren’t in the business to sell products, instead, we are here to design the most efficient systems, that last, and save the owner money by associating the appropriate products to the project & assist in water conservation. We are here to partner with Engineers, Landscape Architects, General Contractors, Public Entities, Universities and the like, to ensure quality control on the projects.  Irrigation Consultants have the interest of the Owner in mind.  Remember, your clients pay for the system one time, but they do pay for the Water every month!
